Days Out KIJ09

KIJ 09 offers you the opportunity for a day out to one of three fantastic destinations.

You can request your preferred option for your Group via the form on this website. Unfortunately, it is not possible to split up Groups across two or more locations and each Group requires the appropriate number of Leaders to supervise their Group for the day.

We hope we can accommodate all venue requests but there are some restrictions so please send in your nominations as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Once you have read the options below, make your option choice by clicking here.

Choice 1. Hastings 1066 Country

You can liven things up at the fun park or chill down on the beach. If you are a fan of the TV drama Foyle’s War then you may recognise some of the town as Hastings is where the popular TV drama was filmed.

Choice 2. London

LondonLondon is the capital of the United Kingdom. An important settlement for two millennia, London's history goes back to its founding by the Romans. Since its beginnings, London has been part of many movements and phenomena throughout history, such as the English Renaissance, the Industrial Revolution, and the Gothic Revival in architecture. The city's core, the ancient City of London, still retains its limited mediaeval boundaries.

London currently has a wide range of peoples, cultures, and religions, and more than 300 languages are spoken within the city. In 2007, it had an official population of 7,556,900 within the boundaries of Greater London and including all London Regions is estimated to have a total population of between 12 million and 14 million, the largest metropolitan area in the EU.

You will be taken by coach to the heart of the capital and following a short orientation tour taking in the main central city attractions you will arrive on the north embankment just a short walk from Trafalgar Square. You will be in short and easy walking distance from Leister Square, China Town, Piccadilly, The National Art Gallery, The British Museum, Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey and Cathedral, The London Eye and many other attractions including the Aquarium, Horse Guards Parade and 10 Downing Street.

With so many attractions available you will need to plan wisely if you chose this option. You will need to book ahead where access is limited, timed or attracts an entry fee. However, with so many places open for free, you can still gain a great experience in this great city without having to spend a penny, courtesy of KIJ09.
